Common use of Interpretive Rules Clause in Contracts

Interpretive Rules. The words “hereof,” “herein” and “hereunder” and words of similar import when used in this Agreement refer to this Agreement as a whole and not to any particular provision of this Agreement, and all Article and Section references are to this Agreement unless otherwise specified. The words “include,” “includes” and “including” will be deemed to be followed by the phrase “without limitation.” The table of contents and headings contained in this Agreement are for reference purposes only and shall not affect in any way the meaning or interpretation of this Agreement. No provision of this Agreement shall be construed to require either party or their respective officers, directors, subsidiaries or Affiliates to take any action which would violate or conflict with any applicable Law. The word “if” means “if and only if.” The word “or” shall not be exclusive. The meanings given to terms defined herein will be equally applicable to both the singular and plural forms of such terms. Whenever the context may require, any pronoun includes the corresponding masculine, feminine and neuter forms.
