Isolation Requirements. The piping system shall be designed by the Owner’s Engineer to be appropriately isolated for maintenance from all sources of energy such as the main geofluid line and the well. Acceptable isolation methods are double block and bleed or an isolation valve with a dropout spool. Drop out spools must be accessible from ground level or a working platform.

Isolation Requirements. The Interconnection Customer shall not energize any of the Utility’s system line or equipment unless the Utility’s System Control Center (SCC) specifically approves energization. If, for any reason, a protective device operation separates the Generating Facility from the Utility’s system, the Interconnection Customer shall contact the SCC before attempting to restore the connection to the system. Automatic re-closing is not allowed. At the Connection Point, a disconnect switch shall be provided for the purpose of physically and visibly isolating the Generating Facility from the Utility’s System. With the agreement between the Utility and the Interconnection Customer, the disconnect switch may be installed at another location other than the Connection Point, provided that the purpose described herein is satisfied.
