ISSUE OF EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING. Clause 19.01 Clause 19.02 (a) The Employer agrees to subsidize one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of approved safety footwear purchases to an annual dollar limit of two hundred dollars ($200.00) effective April 1, 2015 for all regular employees who are required to wear safety footwear to carry out their normal duties. Purchases must be covered by a suitable receipt. Purchases must be covered by a suitable receipt and are limited to one (1) pair every second calendar year. (a) The Employer agrees to issue a uniform to all new regular employees in the classifications of Meter Technician, Crew Leader of the above and Collection Officer consisting of: 1 parka or bomber jacket 2 jackets (long or short) 2 pair trousers (summer) 2 pair trousers (winter) 4 long sleeve shirts 1 bib coverall 1 ball cap 1 raincoat The Employer reserves the right to determine the quality, colour, and material of the clothing provided it meets E.&U.S.A. safety standards. (b) Beyond the initial issue, uniforms will be replaced as required, on the basis of exchange. (c) The employee will contribute $1.00 per week towards the cost of cleaning. (e) The employee is responsible for keeping their clothing washed or cleaned as required. (f) As per the classifications and conditions outlined in last two sentences of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide parkas every second calendar year. (g) The Employer will either supply on a rental basis or issue two (2) pairs of coveralls to the Garage Crew Leader, Garage Mechanic and Garage Helper on an annual basis as per Parts A, B, C. The employee will contribute $1.00 per week towards the cost. (h) As per the conditions of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide a parka, and a second piece of outerwear if required, to an employee in the classification of Field Co-ordinator, Project Co-ordinator and Energy Supply Co-ordinator. Beyond the initial issue, replacement will be on an exchange basis. (i) As per the conditions of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide one winter parka, one pair of bib overalls and xxxxx or summer coveralls for an employee in the classification of Chief Operator and System Operator(s). Beyond the initial issue, replacement will be on an exchange basis. For the winter parka, exchange will not occur more often than every 24 months. (j) The Employer will provide one pair of fire retardant long underwear per year to Powerline Electricians, Substation Electricians, Meter Technicians and Crewleaders to each employee who requests them.

The Employer reserves the right to determine the quality, colour, and material of the clothing provided it meets I.H.S.A. safety standards. Employees, as approved by the Employer and, who normally wear prescription glasses, shall be issued by an Optical supplier of the Employer's choice, prescription flash and/or safety glasses at Employer expense when same are required to perform their duties on basis of exchange. The employer will provide polarized sunglasses for those employees who require safety glasses, they will be issued by the Operations Superintendent.

These work clothes may either be purchased by the Employer or purchased at approved retail outlets by the employee, and charged to the Employer. The Employer reserves the right to determine the quality, colour, and material of the clothing provided it meets E.&U.S.A. IHSA safety standards. (b) The initial issue shall consist of: 2 work shirts 2 work pants 2 items- any combination of: xxxxx or summer bib overalls or insulated bib overalls or summer coveralls, insulated coveralls or shop coat or Lineman switching jacket jacket. (c) Beyond the initial issue, the Employer will provide (subject to conditions of Part (a)) up to six pieces of clothing per year, as required, on the basis of exchange. (d) The Employer agrees to pay the cost of rainwear (subject to Part (a)). Replacement will be on an exchange basis. (e) The employee is responsible for keeping their clothing washed or cleaned as required. (f) As per the classifications and conditions outlined in last two sentences of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide parkas every second calendar year. (g) The Employer will either supply on a rental basis or issue two (2) pairs of coveralls to the Garage Crew Leader, Garage Mechanic and Garage Helper on an annual basis as per Parts A, B, C. (h) As per the conditions of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide a parka, and a second piece of outerwear if required, to an employee in the classification of Field Co-ordinator, Project Co-ordinator and Energy Supply Co-ordinator. Beyond the initial issue, replacement will be on an exchange basis. (i) As per the conditions of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide one winter parka, one pair of bib overalls and xxxxx or summer coveralls for an employee in the classification of Chief Operator and System Operator(s). Beyond the initial issue, replacement will be on an exchange basis. For the winter parka, exchange will not occur more often than every 24 months. (j) The Employer will provide one pair of fire retardant long underwear per year to Powerline Electricians, Substation Electricians, Meter Technicians and Crewleaders to each employee who requests them. (k) The Employer is willing to provide temporary employees in the classifications outlined in Clause 19.04 (a) One (1) work shirt and one (1) pair of bib overalls or winter coveralls at no cost to the employee. Upon termination of employment the temporary employee must return the clothing failing which the Employer may deduct the full cost from the temporary employee’s final pay cheque. (l) The employer will provide polarized sunglasses for those employees who require safety glasses, they will be issued by the Operations Superintendent. The Employer reserves the right to determine the quality, colour, and material of the clothing provided it meets IHSA safety standards.

(b) Beyond the initial issue, uniforms will be replaced as required, on the basis of exchange. (c) The employee will contribute $1.00 per week towards the cost of cleaning. (a) The Employer agrees to pay one hundred percent (100%) of the cost of work clothes as outlined in parts (b) and (c) for the following classifications: Competitive Services Co-ordinator, Fibre Splicer, Outside Plant Technician, Powerline Electrician, Substation ElectricianOutside Plant Co-ordinator, Storekeeper, Locator, Labourer, Maintenance/Construction Worker, Power System Inspector, Material Coordinator, Project Coordinator, Field Coordinator, Garage Helper, Garage Mechanic, Operations Planner, Driver/Operator, Network Support Technician and Network Technician and Crew Leader(s) of the above. (c) Beyond the initial issue, the Employer will provide (subject to conditions of Part (a)) up to six pieces of clothing per year, as required, on the basis of exchange. (d) The Employer agrees to pay the cost of rainwear (subject to Part (a)). Replacement will be on an exchange basis. (e) The employee is responsible for keeping their clothing washed or cleaned as required. (f) As per the classifications and conditions outlined in last two sentences of Part (a), the Employer agrees to provide parkas every second calendar year. (g) The Employer will either supply on a rental basis or issue is willing to provide employees in the classification of I.T. Professional two (2) pairs of coveralls work pants, two (2) work shirts and one (1) pair of overalls per calendar year at no cost to the Garage Crew Leaderemployee. The Employer is also willing to provide one (1) winter parka every two calendar years at no cost to the employee, Garage Mechanic provided that the Employer has not already provided one in the same two (2) calendar years. These work clothes may either be purchased by the Employer or purchased at approved retail outlets by the employee, and Garage Helper on an annual basis as per Parts Acharged to the Employer. Upon termination of employment the temporary employee in must return the classification of Chief Operator and System Operator(s)clothing failing which the Employer may deduct the full cost from the temporary employee’s final pay cheque.
