Joint Subcommittee. A Joint Subcommittee shall be appointed to study Apprenticeship structure Province-wide immediately upon ratification of this Agreement.
Joint Subcommittee. The City and the Union agree to create a joint subcommittee to monitor the costs utilized by the actuary to ensure that only costs appropriately related to the health care plan are included when calculating the City’s estimated annual health care costs as those estimates are used to set employee health care premium sharing amounts. These costs will include the direct costs, administrative costs, and the costs of healthy lifestyle and general health education programs.
Joint Subcommittee. The Employer and the Union agree that, as soon as possible following ratification of this Memorandum of Agreement, a Joint Subcommittee shall be constituted comprised of three (3) members appointed by the Employer and three (3) members appointed by the Union. The purpose of the Joint Subcommittee shall be to review and discuss means of achieving resolution of the following issues:
(a) potential ways and means of reducing costs associated with the provision of sick leave benefits; and
(b) issues surrounding the accrual of paid leave benefits while absent on sick leave or WCB. It is understood and agreed that the parties may agree to implement some or all of the Joint Subcommittee’s recommendations during the currency of the new Collective Agreement. Between: And: And: This Letter of Intent outlines the terms and conditions agreed to by the Joint Benefits Review Committee regarding the redesign of Disability Income Plans and Group Life Insurance; enhancements to Dental and Extended Health Benefits; and funding of the Employee Assistance Program. The proposed effective date of the changes is 1990 December 24 (except for those changes which cannot administratively be delivered); and is subject to ratification by all parties and other necessary approvals such as the Superintendent of Insurance, the membership of the Burnaby Municipal Benefit Society and the Superannuation Commissioner. The terms, conditions and definitions of coverage, rules and procedures, handling of CPP/WCB integration, subrogation and claims procedures for Disability Income Plans (Short Term Sick Leave, Medium Term Disability and Long Term Disability) will be identified in a Plan Document agreed to by all parties. In the absence of agreement by all parties to the wording of the initial Plan Document, this Letter of Intent will be considered to be terminated.
