In this regard, the Investor understands that such venture investments involve a high degree of risk, and that many or most venture company investments lose money. An Investor may ultimately receive cash, securities, or a combination of cash and securities (and in many cases nothing at all). If the Investor receives securities, the securities may not be publicly traded, and may not have any significant value.
