Common use of Late Claims Submission Clause in Contracts

Late Claims Submission. Delta Dental will make no payment for services or supplies if a Claim for such has not been received by Delta Dental within one year following the date the services or supplies were completed. In the event that a Participating Provider submits a Claim more than one year from the date of service, Delta Dental will deny that portion of the Claim that Delta Dental would have paid if the Claim had been timely submitted, and such portion of the Claim will not be chargeable to the Member. However, you will remain responsible for any applicable Deductible and/or Copayment. In the event that a Nonparticipating Provider submits a Claim more than one year from the date of service, Delta Dental will Deny the Claim and you may be responsible for the full amount.
