LAWS, RULES & REGULATIONS Sample Clauses

The "Laws, Rules & Regulations" clause establishes that the parties to an agreement must comply with all applicable legal requirements relevant to the contract. This typically means that each party is responsible for ensuring their actions, products, or services adhere to local, state, federal, and sometimes international laws and regulations. For example, a company providing goods must ensure those goods meet safety standards, while a service provider must follow licensing requirements. The core function of this clause is to allocate responsibility for legal compliance, reducing the risk of unlawful conduct and clarifying that violations may constitute a breach of contract.
