LDAC. The Board and the Association recognize the value and merits of having a highly professional administrative staff to lead the school system. A joint administrative advisory committee on lead- ership development will advise the school system on all activities and programs for administrators. a. The committee will be referred to as the Leadership Development Advisory Committee (LDAC). b. The committee will include representatives chosen by the Superintendent and the Association. The committee will meet regularly and, as needed, will make recommendations to the Superintendent and the Association. c. The committee will be co-chaired by a representative from the Association and MCPS. d. The committee will be charged with advising and making recommendations to the Super- intendent and the Association with regard to the leadership development of administrators; assessment and review of alternative models for delivery of training; conducting periodic needs assessments of unit members with regard to training and staff development; reviewing staff needs and system needs and recommending approaches to ensure that staff development offerings are aligned to meet both; and other related issues as determined by the parties. e. The committee will receive regular updates concerning the use of technology as it relates to the leadership development of administrators and make recommendations concerning the use of technology for training and development. f. The committee, in consultation with the Joint Collaboration Committee, will develop and exercise oversight for orientation programs for administrators new to administration or new to another administrative position.
