Common use of Lecturer to Senior Lecturer Clause in Contracts

Lecturer to Senior Lecturer. If performance and other circumstances warrant, Lecturers with six years of service may be promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer. Promotion to Senior Lecturer will be based on consistent demonstration of excellence in teaching with satisfactory performance in service and scholarship, except that growth and improvement since the initial appointment as Lecturer must be demonstrated. It is the responsibility of the faculty member to demonstrate that they have met or exceeded the department criteria for promotion.
