Level of Care Utilization System. (LOCUS) and Child and Adolescent Level of Care Utilization System (CALOCUS) is a clinical tool use to determine level of care needs. The tool has a Dimensional Rating System, which is an assessment that determines the level of severity of a client’s needs. It operationalizes many of the factors clinicians would consider in trying to determine the most appropriate services for a client who presents for care.
