Level or Transit. The Contractor shall maintain an accurate level or transit at the site at all times. This instrument shall be used to verify lines, grades, etc., and shall be available at all times for use by the Architect/Engineer and the Owner. A level shall be used to layout all Work and shall be used by operators skilled in the instrument’s use.
