License Commencement Clause Samples
The License Commencement clause defines the specific date or event upon which the rights and obligations under a license agreement become effective. Typically, this clause will state whether the license starts on the date the agreement is signed, upon delivery of certain materials, or after the fulfillment of a condition precedent. By clearly establishing when the licensee can begin using the licensed property and when the licensor’s obligations begin, this clause ensures both parties have a mutual understanding of the timeline, thereby preventing disputes over unauthorized use or delayed performance.
License Commencement. Term of the Tenancy. Licensees can arrive at 12:00 PM CDT but rooms will not be ready until 3:00 PM CDT. Earlier check-in can be requested 3 days before travel only in the event that no prior guests are departing on your arrival day.

License Commencement i. Where the Customer purchases Smart Lock after device purchase, the license commences on the date Customer purchases the Smart Lock license.
ii. Where the Customer purchases Smart Lock at the same time as purchasing a device, the license commences on the date the Customer first switches the laptop on.
License Commencement. During any Configuration Period, any references to rights or licenses in any of the applicable sections of these Terms or the Software Order shall be construed as rights or licenses that are limited to the Configuration Period only. The parties acknowledge and agree that:
(1) unless and until the Acceptance Criteria have been met, no rights or licenses granted to Customer hereunder shall continue beyond the Configuration Period; and (2) immediately upon the achievement of such Acceptance Criteria the Configuration Period will terminate, Customer’s license to the Software will begin, and all terms and conditions of these Terms and the Software Order shall apply with full force and effect.
License Commencement. The License commences, for pre-installed Lenovo Smart Performance, on the date the device is first used, otherwise, on the date the Software Product is installed.
