Common use of Limitation on Third Party Beneficiaries Clause in Contracts

Limitation on Third Party Beneficiaries. It is not intended by any of the provisions of the Contract Documents to create any third-party beneficiary hereunder, or to authorize anyone not a party hereto to maintain a suit for personal injury or property damage pursuant to the terms or provisions hereof, except to the extent that specific provisions (such as the Warranty and indemnity provisions) identify third parties and state that they are entitled to benefits hereunder. The duties, obligations, and responsibilities of the parties to the Contract Documents with respect to such third parties shall remain as imposed by law. The Contract Documents shall not be construed to create a contractual relationship of any kind between the District and a Subcontractor or any other Person except the DB Contractor.
