Common use of Limited Authority Clause in Contracts

Limited Authority. 9.1 The Contractor is not and this Agreement does not render the Contractor an agent or employee of the City, and without limiting the above, the Contractor does not have authority to enter into any contract or reach any agreement on behalf of the City, except for the limited purposes as may be expressly set out in this Agreement, or as necessary in order to provide the Goods and Services. The Contractor will make such lack of authority clear to all persons with whom the Contractor deals in the course of providing the Goods and Services. Every vehicle used by the Contractor in the course of providing the Goods and Services shall identify the Contractor by name and telephone number.
