Common use of LINE OF DUTY DISABILITY Clause in Contracts

LINE OF DUTY DISABILITY. When an employee is injured or incapacitated during the course of his/her employment, he/she shall receive such pay for lost time as provided under the Workers' Compensation Disability Act. When no dispute is filed, or when a decision is issued, the County will pay a supplemental compensation equal to eighty-five percent (85%) of his/her regular base pay coordinated under the Act, at the time such workers’ compensation benefits are paid, from the employee’s accumulated sick leave, if any, upon request of the employee.
