Common use of Liquidated Damages; Extension of Time Clause in Contracts

Liquidated Damages; Extension of Time. Timely completion of Task Orders issued under this Contract is of the essence. In accordance with Government Code Section 53069.85, should CONTRACTOR fail to complete the work specified in the Task Order in accordance with the approved construction schedule, and provided CONTRACTOR has not previously obtained a written extension of time from COUNTY according to the General Conditions, a sum appropriate with the following schedule may be deducted from each succeeding request for payment as liquidated damages on each Task Order if applicable.
