Common use of Liquidated Damages; Extension of Time Clause in Contracts

Liquidated Damages; Extension of Time. In accordance with Government Code Section 53069.85, CONTRACTOR agrees to forfeit and pay to the COUNTY as liquidated damages the sum of for each and every calendar day's delay in finishing the work in excess of the summation of the number of working days prescribed herein and the number of working days granted for delays as prescribed in Section 6-6 of the STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS. CONTRACTOR further agrees that such sum shall be deducted from payments due to or to become due to CONTRACTOR.
