LIST OF APPROVED BANKS. LIST OF APPROVED BANKS 1. The following Banks with their branches in Greater Mumbai and upto Virar and Kalyan have been approved only for the purpose of accepting Banker’s Guarantee from 1997-98 onwards until further instructions. 2. The Bankers Guarantee issued by branches of approved Banks beyond Kalyan and Virar can be accepted only if the said Banker’s Guarantee is countersigned by the Manager of a Branch of the same Bank, within the Mumbai City Limit categorically endorsing thereon that said bankers Guarantee is binding on the endorsing Branch of the Bank with Mumbai limits and is liable to be on forced against the said branch of the Bank in case of default by the contractor/ supplier furnishing the Bankers Guarantee.
