Local Official Plans and Amendments. 5.6.1. The Local Municipalities lead and adopt policy based Local Official Plans and Amendments. 5.6.2. The Region is the approval authority for Local Official Plans and Amendments. 5.6.3. Prior to initiating policy based Local Official Plan amendments, the Local Municipalities will share information on the initiative and seek input from the Region and relevant Conservation Authority. 5.6.4. The Region and Conservation Authorities will review and provide comments on policy-based Local Official Plan Amendments as it relates to their interests and mandates.
