Local Shopping. Goods estimated to cost the equivalent of $100,000 or less per contract, up to an aggregate contribution of the Association equivalent to $240,000, may be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of comparison of price quotations obtained from at least three suppliers eligible under the Guidelines, in accordance with procedures acceptable to the Association.
Local Shopping. The following provisions shall apply to the procurement of goods and works under National Competitive Bidding procedures:- (i) foreign bidders shall be allowed to participate in the NCB procedures; (ii) bidders shall be given at least one month to submit bids from the date of the invitation to bid, or the date of availability of bidding documents, whichever is later; (iii) no domestic preference shall be given for domestic bidders and for domestically manufactured goods; and (iv) in accordance with paragraph 1.14(e) of the Procurement Guidelines, each bidding document and contract financed out of the proceeds of the Advance shall provide that: (1) the bidders, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors shall permit the Association, at its request, to inspect their accounts and records relating to the bid submission and performance of the contract, and to have said accounts and records audited by auditors appointed by the Association; and (2) the deliberate and material violation by the bidder, supplier, contractor or subcontractor of such provision may amount to an obstructive practice as defined in paragraph 1.14(a)(v) of the Procurement Guidelines.
Local Shopping. Each contract for the supply of goods, with the exception of those specified in paragraph 7, part (i), above, estimated to cost USD 10 000 or more but less than USD 25 000 equivalent, shall be awarded on the basis of evaluating and comparing bids invited from at least three suppliers.
Local Shopping. Except as provided in paragraph 12, below, each contract for the supply of civil works estimated to cost USD 20 000 equivalent or less, shall be awarded on the basis of evaluating and comparing bids invited from at least three suppliers, in accordance with procedures approved by the Cooperating Institution.
Local Shopping. Each contract for consultant services estimated to cost USD 10 000 or more but less than USD 25 000 equivalent, shall be awarded on the basis of evaluating and comparing bids invited from at least three consultants.
Local Shopping. Civil works estimated to cost less than the equivalent of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) per contract, up to an aggregate amount not to exceed the equivalent of one million dollars ($1,000,000), and miscellaneous equipment estimated to cost less than the equivalent of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) per contract, up to an aggregate amount not to exceed the equivalent of one million dollars ($1,000,000), may be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of comparison of price quotations obtained from at least three (3) contractors or suppliers, as the case may be, eligible under the Guidelines, in accordance with procedures acceptable to the Bank.
Local Shopping. Goods required under Part A of the Project may be procured under contracts awarded on the basis of comparing price quotations obtained from at least three suppliers. Invitations to bid shall be sent to out to potential bidders and posted in the relevant province, district and village where the goods will be used.
Local Shopping. Works estimated to cost the equivalent of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) per contract but more than the equivalent of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), up to and aggregate amount not to exceed the equivalent of three million fifteen thousand dollars ($3,015,000), and goods estimated to cost less than the equivalent of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) per contract, up to and aggregate amount not to exceed the equivalent of three million one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($3,150,000), may be procured on the basis of comparison of price quotations obtained from at least three (3) suppliers or contractors eligible under the Guidelines, in accordance with procedures acceptable to the Association.
