LOCKOUT OR STRIKE Sample Clauses

The Lockout or Strike clause defines the rights and obligations of parties in the event of a work stoppage caused by a lockout or strike. Typically, this clause outlines whether work must continue, how pay and benefits are handled, and what procedures should be followed if employees are unable to perform their duties due to labor disputes. For example, it may specify that the employer is not required to pay wages during a strike, or that certain essential services must be maintained. The core function of this clause is to provide clarity and manage expectations for both employers and employees during labor disruptions, thereby reducing uncertainty and potential conflicts.
