Lost or Stolen Keys. Tenant is responsible for replacement costs each time a key (to an apartment entrance, a bedroom door, a laundry room, a storage room, common area doors, or a mailbox) is lost or stolen. In shared units with more than one Tenant, this may include lock changes and key reissuance for other Tenants’ spaces within the Property. Key and lock repair, replacement, and maintenance will be performed only by University Access Control and Security Services, at rates set by that department. Tenant will be charged for all services, parts, and labor incurred by replacing each lock/key set. Lost or Stolen Keys. User will be charged $100.00, plus tax, for lost or stolen keys. This fee covers rekeying locks and making additional keys. Keys that are not returned within forty-eight (48) hours following the last date of User’s reservation will be deemed lost.
Lost or Stolen Keys. The decision to reissue a lost or stolen key will be determined by District Administration. Generally, if any individual has two or more separate incidents of lost, stolen, or non-returned key violations within a one-year period, key privileges may be modified or revoked. The District reserves the right to levy monetary charges which may vary by the number of locks operated by the lost or stolen key(s).
