Lunch and Meal Breaks. 6.1 An employee is to take a meal break of at least 30 minutes in a period of five hours continuous work. 6.2 An employee shall be entitled to take a luncheon period of one hour, but may reduce or extend that period to a minimum of 30 minutes or to a maximum of three hours respectively, subject to the needs of the work area.
