Maine school transfers. As a matter of practice, when students in grades 7-8 transfer between participating sites, the device follows the student. The same is true for teachers in grades 7-12 since the Department covers the annual seat cost for all 7-8 students and 7-12 teachers. However, for students at participating schools in grades K-6 and 9-12, the local school covers the annual seat cost, and as a matter of practice, when students transfer out of those schools, the school retains the device.
