Maintained and Accumulated Sample Clauses

Maintained and Accumulated. Seniority shall be maintained and accumulated under the following conditions: i) while in receipt of Workers’ Compensation benefits (wage loss replacement and rehabilitation benefits); ii) absence due to maternity and parental leave as provided for in this Agreement; iii) absence due to any paid leave for the period of the leave; iv) absence due to the conduct of Union business; v) absence due to lay-offs while on the recall list, for the first twenty (20) work days; vi) absence due to a general unpaid leave of absence, for the first twenty (20) work days; and vii) absence while on a long-term disability claim (including the qualifying period). viii) For time periods in excess of those expressed above, seniority shall be maintained but not accumulated.
