Maintenance App Optional Functionality Sample Clauses

Maintenance App Optional Functionality. Optional  Scan RFID tags  Transmit RFID tag to maintenance tool  Receive tickets from maintenance tool; display, allow user to modify, and send back  System access: Receive list of accessible devices from maintenance tool; display, allow user to select subset, and indicate subset to maintenance tool  Device access: Receive list of access options for a device; display, allow user to select, and send back selected access method to maintenance tool While scanning the RFID tag would certainly be possible with built-in or third-party software, in a real-world scenario the mobile phone app would probably provide a simple interface to the RFID reader, and a way to transmit the tag to the maintenance tool after reading, as not everybody can be expected to be able to do that. However, the impact on the demonstration is probably small enough that it might not be worth it to implement this feature. For the engineer to be able to use the maintenance app in the process of investigating the problem, it would have to provide a more complex functionality, as listed in the table above. A simple way around having to implement all that in a mobile phone app would be to have the mobile phone directly access the maintenance tool SaaS via its web browser. Maintenance Tool Table 3: Maintenance Tool Functionality Minimum  Contact the Global Resource Directory for IPv6 addresses of CMS (unless maintenance tool and CMS are part of the same SaaS), STIS, and Inventory Management.  Store a list of mobile phone numbers as emergency contacts and send a notification SMS to them.  Provide secure login from maintenance app.  A ticket system to create and modify maintenance tickets containing at least the user ID as well as the location and the RFID of the component(s).  Contact the STIS with the RFID of a component to request detailed information.  List of devices: Query Global Resource Directory for list of accessible devices and transmit to maintenance app.  List of access options: Query Global Resource Directory for list of access options for a given device and transmit maintenance app.  Device access: Query Global Resource Directory with device ID and access type for IPv6 (of device or appropriate gateway), issue access, accept return value, and transmit to maintenance app.  Create a part order from RFID and associated STIS information, issue to Inventory Management Server, and receive confirmation. As the maintenance tool is the main component of this scenario, the funct...
