Common use of MANAGED CARE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM Clause in Contracts

MANAGED CARE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM. The Contractor’s Managed Care Management Information System (MCMIS) shall provide certain minimum functional capabilities as described in this contract. The Contractor shall have sophisticated information systems capabilities that support the specific requirements of this contract, as well as respond to future program requirements. The DHS shall provide the Contractor with what the DHS, in its sole discretion, believes is sufficient lead time to make system changes. The various components of the Contractor’s MCMIS shall be sufficiently integrated to effectively and efficiently support the requirements of this contract. The Contractor’s MCMIS shall also be a collection point and repository for all data required under this contract and shall provide comprehensive information retrieval capabilities. Contractors with multiple systems and/or subcontracted health care services shall integrate the data, at a minimum, to provide for combined reporting and, as required, to support the required processing functions.
