Management Areas. ⚫ For Management Area 1: The City of Chico will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Management Area chapter of the GSP ⚫ For Management Area 2: Butte County and Rock Creek Reclamation District will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Management Area 2 chapter of the GSP ⚫ For Management Area 3: Butte County and Durham Irrigation District will be responsible for overseeing the development of the Management Area 3 chapter of the GSP ⚫ The respective agency boards will submit their Management Area Chapter to the Vina GSA Board Requested Actions:
Management Areas. 8.1 The management areas are shown on the attached map. The following are legal descriptions of each zone.
Management Areas. The Parties acknowledge that SGMA, and provisions of the SGMA regulations promulgated by DWR, including but not limited to Section 354.20 (23 C.C.R. § 354.20), authorize the establishment of Management Areas for the development and implementation of sustainable groundwater management within the Basin, and accordingly the Parties acknowledge that each GSP covering a Management Area shall at a minimum include the following elements which shall be jointly developed, maintained, and modified as appropriate in the future: i. The reason for the creation of each management area; ii. The minimum thresholds and measurable objectives established for each Management Area, and an explanation of the rationale for selecting those values iii. The level of monitoring and analysis appropriate for each Management Area; iv. An explanation of how the Management Area can operate under different minimum thresholds and measurable objectives without causing undesirable results outside the Management Area; and v. Specific localized descriptions, maps, and other information sufficient to describe conditions in each area.

The GSP will be organized so that there are GSP chapters that address issues common to all Members followed by Management Area chapters that may include specific minimum thresholds, measurable objectives, monitoring protocols and projects. All chapters must be consistent with the Basin sustainability goals. 10.1.2. Management Area Lead Responsibilities and Coordination. Each of the Members will have the responsibility to cooperatively develop their relevant Management Area chapter(s) for inclusion into the GSP. The development of all Management Area chapters will be coordinated through the Advisory Board to ensure consistency and efficiency.
