Common use of Mandatory Alterations, Etc Clause in Contracts

Mandatory Alterations, Etc. Lessee shall make (or cause to be made) such alterations and modifications in and additions to the Aircraft, Airframe and each Engine as may be required from time to time to meet the standards of the FAA or other governmental authority having jurisdiction and to maintain the FAA certificate of airworthiness for the Aircraft; provided, however, that Lessee may contest in good faith the validity or application of any such law, rule, regulation or order in any reasonable manner which does not materially adversely affect Lessor's interest in the Aircraft. All alterations and modifications made pursuant to this Section 8.4.1 shall be made at the cost and expense of Lessee.
