Common use of Mandatory Early Out Clause in Contracts

Mandatory Early Out. When there are insufficient volunteers for an Early Out opportunity, the part-time employees at work in the classification will be sent home by reverse seniority and by shift. The seniority pool will be, first, those part-timers with the earliest shift start time that day by reverse seniority; and then, if necessary, those part-timers with the next shift start by reverse seniority. If there are no part-time employees then full-time employees will be sent home by shift by reverse seniority using the same pools. Affected employees will always receive the minimum call in pay regardless of Mandatory Early Out.
