Maritime Arbitration Organizations. The Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria (MAAN) was borne out of the need to ensure that the increasing demand for maritime arbitration in Nigeria is effectively and adequately met. Lawyers and other practitioners who have developed dispute resolution expertise in commercial and maritime arbitration came together to establish the Association. Its memberships are composed of maritime/commercial lawyers, shipping companies and other operators in the maritime field.
