Maritime Representations Clause Samples
The Maritime Representations clause sets out specific statements or assurances made by one or both parties regarding the condition, ownership, or legal status of a vessel involved in a maritime contract. Typically, these representations may include affirmations that the vessel is seaworthy, properly registered, free from liens, and compliant with relevant maritime laws. By clearly defining these representations, the clause helps allocate risk and responsibility, ensuring that both parties have a mutual understanding of the vessel's status and reducing the likelihood of disputes arising from undisclosed issues.
