Measurement of impact velocity. 3.2.1. The velocity of the headform impactor shall be measured at some point during the free flight before impact, in accordance with the method specified in ISO 3784:1976. The measured velocity shall be adjusted considering all factors which may affect the impactor between the point of measurement and the point of impact, in order to determine the velocity of the impactor at the time of impact. The angle of the velocity vector at the time of impact shall be calculated or measured.
