A Medical Support Orders clause establishes the obligation of one or both parties to provide health insurance or medical coverage for a child or dependent. Typically, it specifies which parent is responsible for maintaining health insurance, how premiums and uncovered medical expenses are divided, and the process for enrolling the dependent in a health plan. This clause ensures that dependents have continuous access to necessary medical care and clarifies each party's responsibilities, thereby preventing disputes over healthcare costs.
Medical Support Orders. The Contractor shall notify the Office of Recovery Services if the Contractor discovers that an Enrollee’s parent has a duty to provide medical support.
