Medicare Provider Number Clause Samples
The Medicare Provider Number clause establishes the requirement for a healthcare provider to possess and maintain a valid Medicare Provider Number in order to deliver services that are eligible for Medicare reimbursement. This clause typically applies to medical practitioners or facilities participating in government-funded healthcare programs, ensuring that only authorized providers can bill Medicare for covered services. By mandating compliance with this identification system, the clause helps prevent fraudulent claims and ensures that payments are made only to qualified providers, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the Medicare program.
