Common use of MEDIUM FOR TRANSMITTING PAYMENTS Clause in Contracts

MEDIUM FOR TRANSMITTING PAYMENTS. (1) All payments from the Contractor to the United States under this contract shall be by the medium requested by the United States on or before the date payment is due. The required method of payment may include checks, wire transfers, or other types of payment specified by the United States.1 (2) Upon execution of the contract, the Contractor shall furnish the Contracting Officer with the Contractor’s taxpayer’s identification number (TIN). The purpose for requiring the Contractor’s TIN is for collecting and reporting any delinquent amounts arising out of the Contractor’s relationship with the United States.
