Common use of Minimum Necessary Use and Disclosure Clause in Contracts

Minimum Necessary Use and Disclosure. Business Associate shall make reasonable efforts to limit the use and disclosure of, and request for, Protected Health Information to the minimum amount of information necessary to accomplish the intended purpose of the use, disclosure, or request, subject to any applicable exceptions under the HIPAA Privacy Regulations.

Minimum Necessary Use and Disclosure. In conducting functions and/or activities under this Agreement that involve the use and/or disclosure of Protected Health Information, Business Associate shall make reasonable and diligent efforts to limit the use and and/or disclosure of, and request for, of Protected Health Information to the minimum amount of information necessary as determined by Covered Entity to accomplish the intended purpose of the use, use or disclosure, or request, subject to any applicable exceptions under the HIPAA Privacy Regulations.
