Common use of Mistaken Payments Clause in Contracts

Mistaken Payments. 8.1 Please notify us immediately if you notice that a payment has been made into your Account which you did not expect or authorise. 8.2 If an electronic payment is for any reason mistakenly paid into your Account when it should not have been, we have the right to deduct the amount of the payment from your Account. This is even if the amount is included in the balance on the Account or you have made a payment, transfer or withdrawal against it. 8.3 If the deduction under this this paragraph 8 results in the Account being overdrawn, you may incur interest on the unarranged overdraft, for which please see paragraph 20 of Part 2, Section 1 (Unarranged Overdraft).
