Mitigation of Coastal Hazards. Currently, NANOOS provides observations and analysis of beach profiles and waves to coastal managers to improve planning and response. Audience: WA and OR natural resource departments, USACE, USGS, local government planners, geotechnical engineers, shipping in- terests and the public-at-large. NANOOS Members engaged include the OR Dept of Geology and Mineral In- dustries, the WA Dept of Ecology, OR Dept State Lands, and Northwest Research Associates.
