Common use of Modification/Amendments Clause in Contracts

Modification/Amendments. The prime compensation may be increased or decreased by subsequent agreement between the parties if there is a major change in the scope, character or complexity of the work. The prime compensation may also be adjusted under the terms of Section 2.21 of the STANDARD PROVISIONS, if the work extends more than six months beyond the anticipated date of completion stated in the AGREEMENT. These costs will be treated as direct costs. For any supplement that does not require a change in PROJECT scope, the SUBCONSULTANT will be reimbursed the adjusted rates (direct labor x 2.4) for only that part of the work remaining to be completed at the time he/she submits the written request.
