Modification of tariff commitments. In the event of serious difficulties in respect of imports of a given product, the Pacific State facing such difficulty may request that the Trade Committee review the schedule of customs duty reductions and eliminations with a view to modify where necessary the time schedule for reduction or elimination by common accord. The Trade Committee by Agreement may modify Annex II in any manner deemed appropriate. The Parties shall ensure that any such modifications do not result in an incompatibility of this Agreement with the requirements of Article XXIV of the GATT 1994.
