The Multi-User Installation Type – Non-Floating clause defines the terms under which software can be installed and used by multiple users on a fixed set of devices or workstations. Typically, this clause allows a specified number of users to access the software, but restricts usage to designated machines, meaning the licenses cannot be transferred or shared dynamically among different devices or users. For example, if a company purchases five non-floating licenses, only five specific computers can have the software installed, and these installations cannot be moved without permission. This clause ensures that software usage remains within agreed limits, preventing unauthorized sharing and helping the licensor control and monitor compliance.
Multi-User Installation Type – Non-Floating. This Installation Type gives YOU the right to use the Software from multiple, specific (non-floating) computers that YOU designate during the installation and activation process, that are situated at one physical location. YOU may only use the Software on up to the designated number of computers noted in YOUR Order Confirmation. Use of the Software in a concurrent fashion (as set forth in Section 7(c) below) is strictly prohibited under this Installation Type. Although YOU may receive Upgrades to future versions of the Software (as permitted under Maplesoft’s Elite Maintenance Program), the number of computers where the Software can be accessed cannot exceed the number of licensed users specified in YOUR Order Confirmation.
