National Audit Office. In certain circumstances, the National Audit Office may ask to visit reporting accountants to discuss their methodology and findings. Reporting accountants are asked to co-operate with the National Audit Office as far as reasonably possible. Information gained by the National Audit Office in this way will not be used, without the reporting accountants' permission, for any purpose other than their audit of the Agency’s annual accounts.

The Agency will not ask for anyone's permission before showing grant documents including reports from reporting accountants to the following:- Ministers of the Crown; Officials of the Department for Communities and Local Government; other Civil Servants and EC officials who have a legitimate need for the information; The Comptroller and Auditor General; employees of the National Audit Office; or Parliament’s Committee of Public Accounts. In addition to the above, the Freedom of Information Act obliges the Agency to disclose certain information, on request, to any member of the public.
