Common use of Nature of Relief Clause in Contracts

Nature of Relief. (a) Subject to clause 19.2, a party is excused from performance of, and is not liable for any failure in carrying out any of its obligations under this document, to the extent that it is prevented from doing so by a Force Majeure Event. (b) The affected obligation is suspended from the date the notice is given under clause 19.3(a)(i) until the affected party is able, making reasonable efforts, to perform the affected obligation (Suspension Period).
