No Agency or Joint Venture. Nothing contained in this Mortgage shall be construed to cause the Borrower to become the agent for, or joint venturer with, the Lender for any purpose whatsoever, nor shall the Lender be responsible for any shortage, discrepancy, damage, loss or destruction of any part of the Property for whatever cause unless same is the direct result of the gross negligence of the Lender.
