Common use of Nonconforming Items and Corrective Action Clause in Contracts

Nonconforming Items and Corrective Action. The Supplier shall have procedures for identifying and controlling nonconforming items. These procedures shall establish personnel responsibilities and authority for disposition of those items. The procedures shall also establish methods for investigating each nonconformance and initiating corrective action to prevent recurrence. These measures shall also establish methods to verify repair, rework, or disposal of the nonconforming items and the subsequent reinspection and/or retesting as required to ensure compliance with procurement documents. Records shall be maintained to document the nature, extent, and disposition of the nonconforming items and the corrective action to prevent recurrence. The Purchaser shall have access to such records.
