Common use of Normal Form Clause in Contracts

Normal Form. The term "Normal Form" of an Annuity Benefit under this Contract means (i) if you have a living spouse at the Retirement Date, the Fixed Annuity Benefit payable on the Joint and Survivor Life Annuity Form with such spouse as the contingent annuitant (with 100% of the monthly amount payable to your spouse), and (ii) if you do not have a living spouse at the Retirement Date, the Fixed Annuity Benefit payable on the Life Annuity Form.
