The NOTICE AND LANGUAGE clause defines the requirements for how official communications between the parties must be made and specifies the language in which the contract and related notices are to be written. It may also state that all contractual documents and correspondence must be in a particular language, ensuring mutual understanding. Notice and Language. 12.1 Notice and other communications shall be in the English language and deemed to be valid and effective if sent by courier or registered letter to the addresses of the parties stated above or to other addresses supplied at a later date.
12.2 The communications will be considered as having reached the addressee:
12.2.1 if sent by courier; on delivery
12.2.2 if sent by registered letter; ten days after the date of mailing
Notice and Language. Any notice or communication, which is issued from one party to any other party, if it is sent by cable, telex, fax, e-mail, and concerns the right and obligation of all parties, a written notice shall be followed by mail. The legal addresses set forth in this Contract shall be deemed to be the correspondence addresses of the parties. This Contract is written in both English and Chinese, and both languages are equally authoritative.
