Common use of Notices 8 Clause in Contracts

Notices 8. 1.1 In the case of all letters and notices sent under the terms of or in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement these need to be sent as follows (in order for the letters or notices to be deemed to be received): (a) us to you will be properly served if they are delivered to you by hand, first class post, or special delivery at the Accommodation and/or the address you provide to us when applying to us for the Accommodation (or such other address that you have notified us about in accordance with clause 8.1.3); (b) you to us will be properly served if left or sent to us (by first class post or special delivery) at the Accommodation Office. 8.1.2 A notice sent by the following means is to be treated as having been received: (a) if delivered by hand, on the day of delivery; or (b) if sent by first class post or special delivery, on the first working day after posting. 8.1.3 You agree to notify us of any change to the address you provide to us when applying to us for the Accommodation by contacting the Accommodation Office. 8.1.4 You agree to pass on to us immediately any statutory letters or notices served on you by a third party (i.e. not us).
