Common use of Obligations of the United States Government Clause in Contracts

Obligations of the United States Government. Investments may be made in (a) direct obligations of the United States of America for the payment of money, or obligations for the payment of money to the extent guaranteed or insured as to the payment of principal and interest by the United States of America; and (b) direct obligations for the payment of money to the extent guaranteed or insured as to the payment of principal and interest by an agency or instrumentality of the United States of America.
